Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager – Los Angeles, CA, US | Works

Jeremiah Brent Designs, a residential interior design firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager with a minimum of 7 years of construction and renovation experience to manage and execute all facets of high-end residential design for projects in the Greater Los Angeles area.

As a project manager, your role is to manage JBD projects from start to finish. As the eye and ear of the project, you will report directly to the Design Directors and Jeremiah all updates and execution of the project and take full responsibility for every detail.

With attention to detail and communication, you clearly coordinate expectations, timelines, budgets, design decisions, communication with vendors, and all project deliverables.

Your organizational strengths allow for a seamless design experience from ideation to installation. You will work hand in hand with the Design Director to execute all tasks and coordinate the project, delivering all deliverables on time, on budget and exceeding client expectations.

The tasks of the project manager will include, but are not limited to:

– Design ideation and initial consultations

– Development of drawings and floor plans

– Coordinate, assist and animate customer meetings.

– Construction administration: Communication and management of builders or trades on site. Provide diligent site supervision with an emphasis on design implementation and quality control. Proactively manage communication with customers and subcontractors

– Sourcing of architectural materials and finishes + FF + E

– Preparation of presentations and proposals. Generation of offers, proposals, purchase and submission to the client.

– Prepare client presentations and proposals

– FF + E purchases with follow-up in Studio Designer. Coordinate and manage deliveries, storage and installations

– Communication with suppliers

– On-site installation and site visits

– Management of project schedules. Ensure the accuracy, timely installation and quality of all aspects of a renovation project

– Management of daily tasks for junior designers / interns / assistants on the project

– Work transparently with the Director and Design Director to manage, assign tasks, review and motivate junior team members. Weekly / bi-weekly update calls.

** Applicants should be proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup ** Knowledge of Studio Manager is preferred but not required.
