DCAS’s Real Estate Services (RES) division supports New York City government operations by providing services for the city’s real estate needs. RES is responsible for the planning and management of the 37 million square foot space, city-wide acquisitions (lease or purchase), sales and other dispositions of city-owned real estate, architectural design and project management, zoning and land use analyzes, disposition of 15,000 – owned lots, valuation of properties and financial analysis of real estate transactions.

The Design & Project Management (D&PM) unit is responsible for providing comprehensive project management and design expertise to DCAS and NYC client agencies to meet their operational and space needs in support of their services at large. public. Reflecting this mission, D&PM is responsible for providing project management services for the renovation of leased and city-owned spaces, including scheduling, preliminary design, scope of work development, cost estimate , furniture and equipment specifications, supply coordination, space measurement verification and construction. administrative, among others. We are seeking a Project Manager position (Level 3 Architect), able to manage projects of rented and city-owned space, and who can develop and / or oversee blueprints, designs and technical drawings to ensure the code, industry and city. compliance. Completion of project contracts and general administration tasks is also required, including comments on mod sheets. Significant experience in architectural programming (workplace strategy) is preferred.

Responsibilities include:
• Responsibility # 1: Ensure that the programming questionnaire and analysis sheets are completed accurately and on time. • Responsibility # 2: Provide feedback to client agencies on how to effectively schedule their office space to meet operational requirements with flexible space planning strategies that support agency culture in the workplace. • Responsibility # 3: Ensure that the site assessment is carried out accurately and that the proposed architectural basic construction works are included. • Responsibility # 4: Develop the initial project schedule, with input from team members. • Responsibility # 5: Confirm that the project is properly budgeted and that all financial approvals are obtained. • Responsibility n ° 6: Write or revise / comment on the scope of work of the tenant representative and, if necessary, integrate them into the transaction. • Responsibility # 7: Review preliminary plans, construction documents, furniture manifests for program compliance and design intent. • Responsibility # 8: If necessary, develop preliminary plans or basic drawings, and any other drawing deemed necessary to illustrate a space planning concept. • Responsibility # 9: As needed, develop construction documents and select finishes / furniture for internal expense projects. • Responsibility # 10: Identify spaces requiring measurements and confirm the spatial scope for D&PM to approve. • Responsibility # 11: Manage construction projects to substantial completion, verify field conditions and coordinate efficient and timely completion of projects. • Responsibility # 12: Develop and / or supervise and review blueprints, designs and technical drawings to ensure compliance with code, industry and city standards, designed appropriately for the programmatic requirements of the client agency.

Qualification requirements

1. A valid New York State registration as an architect. Current New York State registration as an architect must be maintained for the duration of your employment.

2. In addition to the above qualification requirements, to be eligible for placement in Assignment Levels II and III, individuals must have at least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or project manager on a complex project requiring specific expertise in the disciplines necessary for the design or construction of the project.

Preferred skills:
