Crozier is looking for a Project Developer at our New York location to join our growing Engineering and Design Group (EDG).

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This position requires demonstrated experience with design technologies – in particular, AutoCAD – and their application to the concept and design phases of project development.
The ideal candidate has experience in at least three of the following areas:
This position involves direct interaction with internal CFA teams. Additionally, the DP will work closely with the EDG Director on national and international projects.
Work with internal CFA teams to determine project requirements and criteria.
Collaborate with the EDG Director
Develop concept drawings
Present project concepts to internal teams
Develop rough order of magnitude budgets
Work with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure that the design intent and scope of the project is fully understood and addressed.
Research and test new relevant technologies and workflows
In addition to facility development projects, DP work may include, but is not limited to:
Custom designs for art installations
Development of task tables and schedules.
Monitoring of environmental conditions at all Crozier facilities.
On-site meetings with contractors and suppliers for maintenance issues
AutoCAD certification for design and drafting, or demonstrated experience and skill. Submit a portfolio of work.
Experience with Rino, Sketch Up and 3D modeling is beneficial
Undergraduate degree in architecture or engineering preferred.
Knowledge and interest in the fine arts.
2 to 4 years of work experience in a related field. Ex: Design, Architecture, Engineering and Operation of museums/galleries
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and design.
Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
Able to meet regularly at the CFA headquarters in New York (3x per week).
Able to travel periodically, domestically and internationally.
