We are looking for a highly motivated, diligent and detail-oriented Intermediate Cultural Planner with a proven track record of working in an atmosphere of exploration, collaboration and design. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and expertise in the field of museum projects and a commitment to engage in the cultural work we do.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of a partner, provide a day-to-day leadership role in the management of cultural project programming, research, vision and corporate planning projects
  • Perform analyzes of long-term institutional needs and develop solutions for new facilities and the renovation and expansion of existing facilities
  • Develop presentations and reports that synthesize complex, data-rich information into clear and compelling visual and verbal narratives
  • Contribute to the design process starting with early concepts, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams of designers and consultants
  • Actively support the development of budgets, work scopes and management of project schedules
  • Assist with submission of proposals, including building teams, writing stories, developing graphic layouts, as well as participating in interviews
  • Participate in design discussions and enterprise-wide research initiatives

Terms

  • 3 or more years of experience focused on cultural projects and architectural programming, general planning and design
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Graphics Suite and Microsoft Office with exceptional graphics, organization and design skills
  • Fluency in the English language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional architect degree required with an advanced architectural degree an asset
  • Architecture license or active participation in AXP preferred
