Our client is a mid-sized architecture and interiors firm located in San Francisco. They work on large-scale commercial projects. They need a full-time BIM Manager as follows:

This position operates at the heart of corporate resources, supporting staff use and adoption of evolving technologies, and developing technology and business strategies. The company has fully adopted Revit as the core technology for the projects.

Responsibilities:

Work with the corporate leadership team and IT team to identify trends and business opportunities related to design technologies. Develop strategies to improve project delivery and processes
Train staff and act as a daily technical resource for Revit specialists in all offices to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of the Revit architectural model
Chair the BIM committee
Manage software products, including but not limited to new release integration and product customization, and supporting software
Implement and enforce BIM standards, including protocols and procedures for managing content files (start files, detail components, markup components, and model components)
Assist Model Managers and Revit Specialists with BIM project setup and the creation of Revit project-specific families
Create Revit guidelines and training materials/resources for company intranet
Create and maintain software model files to ensure standards.
Lead and oversee the development of automated routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
Troubleshoot BIM software issues as needed
Ensure internal continuous training (lunch & learn, training sessions, etc.)
Provide Revit/technical integration to new hires
Evaluate new software and technologies related to BIM

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Extensive experience as a BIM Manager overseeing BIM production for multiple projects and working with multiple project teams
Extensive experience and expertise with Autodesk Revit 2020 and 2022 and continued knowledge of future releases
Experience in training, developing and mentoring all levels of personnel in BIM technology
Ownership and accountability for project and enterprise-wide success
Excels in a fast-paced, team environment
Strong communication skills, results oriented
Knowledge and experience in all phases of the execution of an architectural project
Knowledge and experience with a variety of project delivery methods including IPD and Lean construction
Ability to create software implementation project plans, schedules and protocols, in coordination with the IT team
Ensure the successful performance of project teams according to project plans
Knowledge of various software platforms including AutoCAD, Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Enscape, Rhino and/or VR/AR technologies
Experience coordinating with software or hardware vendors and other external consultants

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture or architectural technology
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the AEC industry with at least six (6) years of experience working with BIM technology
Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent
Architect’s license preferred
