Architect/Project Manager (6+ years) – New York, NY, USA | Works

Development of the WAKE design seeks a motivated and talented Project Architect with a minimum of 6 years of full-time experience. Must be familiar with REVIT, the NYC DOB, and have direct experience with clients.

The role: We are a small, growing company taking on jobs, so experience on both the design and technical side of projects is required. The primary role of the selected candidate will vary in size and scope, but will primarily consist of assisting the principal with project management, acting as project architect, and assisting the firm with multiple design tasks, including , but not limited to:

  1. Drawing based on REVIT

  2. Deposit permits and DOB responses.

  3. 3D modeling; Rhino and others

  4. Graphic design

  5. Rendering and Visualization

The ideal candidate will have a degree/training in architecture, interior design and/or drafting, with more than 6 years of professional experience.

The best candidates should possess the following skills:

  1. Ability to work under the direction of the Director or Project Manager with little supervision.

  2. Ability to produce technical assemblies with experience permitting and responses to local building authorities.

  3. Ability to take creative direction and apply feedback effectively.

  4. Comfortable working independently in a growing office.

  5. Comfortable contributing to our growing office culture.

  6. Strong writing, 3D modeling and rendering skills to support the team in deliverables and packages.

  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Software required:

Very knowledgeable in Rhino, and REVIT is a must.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite.
