Preferred Video Tutorial Resolution?

Friday, January 15th, 2010 | announcements

I’m getting ready to put together some more video tutorials. If you have 2 seconds to spare, please vote in the poll on the right to help me decide what resolution to target. Just fyi, up until now, I’ve always done 1024×768 and I think they’ve worked out pretty well, but now that Youtube is offering full HD, I was wondering if I should take advantage of it.

    mind to share your preference while recording? I give Camtasia a quick look and my final video (.mov) is quite blurry and not good like yours.

    hi john i belive the current resolution you use it's good and clear. Which sotware do u use for register?
  • John Lindquist
    I use Camtasia. It works perfectly.
  • voto em 1024 x 768

    Resolution vs Connection speed . Please consider people with low connection speed, i believe they are many.
  • i vote for 1024×768.
  • John Lindquist
    @Dennis - well, that would make the fonts REALLY small if you weren't watching in 1080p...
  • Dennis
    Why not 1080p, if you can't play 1080p you can just select 720p or SD in the menu..
    bigger = better.
  • John Lindquist
    @Amer Widescreen? Really? Why?
  • Amer Dababneh
    any wide screen resolution (1280 * 800 )
  • i vote for 1024x768.
    you'll save some traffic. ;)
  • TK
    Full HD... why not? ;)
  • rodolfo42
    1080p would be very nice, much easier to see
    but 720 also would get the job done
  • Dennis
    720p res is just fine. Really whatever size Brimelow uses for gotoandlearn.com. That's a nice size.
  • I think that 1024x768 is ok. You can push for 1280x1024 if you want to take advantage of HD. I' find with either of these 2. I'll vote for 1024 though.
