3D Math Book Recommendation

Sunday, June 28th, 2009 | announcements | Comments

On pv3d.org, I usually steer clear of the Math that goes on behind the scenes of pv3d which is also the Math you need to achieve some of the coolest tricks. The reason being that it’s impossible to explain advanced Math stuff in a single blog post. Adding Vectors, multiplying Matrices, converting from Quaternions to Euler angles, etc, etc. You just need to start from the beginning and build on each new concept.

Every class I teach, I bring along a specific book to recommend to everyone who wants to start diving in to 3d Math. So, I thought to myself, “Why don’t I recommend it on my blog as well?”

Anyway, here it is (it’s great):

Disclaimer: I do make something like a 4% commission on each book that sells through that link. I hope it doesn’t look like I’m trying to make money off you, but if it does, go ahead and voice your disapproval in the comments :)

Heading to New York. brb ;)

Saturday, June 27th, 2009 | announcements | Comments

I’ll be out in New York Monday-Tuesday teaching a workshop on Papervision3D (click that big ad on the right for more info). Each time I teach, my students always give me great ideas to share on pv3d.org, so hopefully I’ll crank out so sweet new content for the end of next week.

Launching Flex4.org

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 | announcements, flex | Comments

I just launched Flex4.org. I figured this would help keep me on-topic on pv3d.org.

Flex content will go there. Pv3d/Flash content will stay here. Enjoy :)
